Our community programs are designed to foster skills development, encourage craftsmanship, jobs creation, entrepreneurship, self-sufficiency, boost self-image and self-esteem and provide proper nutrition, hygiene and overall assistance to care for the large community of destitute orphaned youth.
VTAG is affiliated with, and helps support, the CHIKUKU ORPHANAGE in Zambia, where 54 homeless children are being cared for by ESTER MWAMBA CHINUNDA, a single woman who serves as “mother” to this impoverished community of youth.
Ester provides for the children from handouts received from neighbours. The children come from various situations — some were abandoned by mothers who could no longer care and feed them, others were orphaned by parents who died from AIDS and other diseases.
VTAG provides funds, food and clothing to Ester and the children.
